Sephra Puffe is an independent voice and piano teacher based in Jamestown, North Dakota. She is a member of the North Dakota Federation of Music Clubs.
Sephra graduated in May of 2011 from Jamestown College with a double Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education and Vocal Performance and a minor in Character in Leadership. She taught for 2 years in the elementary schools in Jamestown and decided to pursue her passion even more and do her private studio full time. She has been teaching piano and voice privately since September 2011.
Sephra has been playing piano since she was 5 years old and took lessons for 13 full years. While in lessons, she competed in piano competitions and received many gold cups and certificates in the NDFMC festival. Starting in 7th grade, she lead worship services and was music director in Edgeley and LaMoure. She started taking voice lessons when she was 14 and took lessons for 9 years. She received a gold cup in the NDFMC festival for her vocal solos and starred at both regional and state music competitions.
While in college, she received awards, such as the Music Major Scholarship, College Fellow in Music, and the Richard H. Smith Choral Award, and also was a part of the Pi Lambda Theta Honor Society. She was in the Concert Choir her entire 4 1/2 years in college and was section leader for a year and a half. She accompanied many students to help with their vocal pieces, for both college students and while student teaching, and was a tutor for music theory. She was also a member of the North Dakota Music Education Association.
